Quick answer: if you use LogRocket mainly to debug errors, Sentry attaches replays to issues (Team $26 a month billed annually, replays from $0.00375 each pay-as-you-go) and Datadog sells Session Replay as an add-on to its RUM at $2.50 per 1,000 sessions billed annually. If you want replay plus product analytics, PostHog gives 5,000 web recordings free each month, then $0.005 per recording. LaunchDarkly (which absorbed Highlight) includes 5K replays a month on its free Developer plan. For self-hosting without an enterprise contract, OpenReplay is open source. Fullstory (30,000 free sessions a month) and Microsoft Clarity (free) suit product and UX teams, and UXCam focuses on mobile apps. Prices are as of October 2026, checked on each vendor's own site.
LogRocket charges for the sessions it captures, across web and mobile, while analytics events, error events and logs are unlimited on every plan. Its pricing calculator shows a free plan at 1,000 sessions a month, $83 a month at 10,000 sessions and $176 a month at 25,000 sessions, based on annual plan savings, with a 14-day free trial. Core covers replay, errors, heatmaps, funnels, path analysis and front-end performance monitoring; Pro adds Galileo AI summaries and issue detection; Enterprise adds unlimited seats, streaming export and a self-hosted option. See the current numbers on LogRocket's pricing page.
Teams look for alternatives for a few recurring reasons. LogRocket says the final price depends on seats, retention length and add-ons, so the calculator figure is a starting point. Self-hosting is an Enterprise option. Back-end teams often already run an error or observability tool and want replay inside it rather than a second product. And product managers who mostly need funnels and retention may prefer a replay that lives inside their analytics.

Who it is for: engineering teams whose main LogRocket use is reproducing bugs.
Pricing: the Developer plan is free for one user. Sentry Team is $26 a month and Business $80 a month, both billed annually with default pre-paid data. Developer, Team and Business each include 50 replays a month; extra replays on Team cost $0.00375 each pay-as-you-go ($0.003 reserved) up to 5,000. New users get 5,000 free replays a month for their first 3 months.
Strengths: replays appear inside issue details next to console output, network calls, logs, traces and web vitals; rage-click and dead-click detection; a hydration error diff for React; mobile replay for React Native, Android, iOS and Flutter. Error monitoring, tracing and logs come in the same plan.
Limits: Sentry is built for debugging rather than product analytics, so product teams that rely on LogRocket's funnels and path analysis may still need a second tool.
Who it is for: teams that use LogRocket for both debugging and product questions and want analytics, flags and surveys too.
Pricing: each month includes 5,000 web and 2,500 mobile recordings, 1M analytics events and 100K exceptions free. Beyond that, PostHog replay starts at $0.0050 per recording and drops to $0.0015 with volume. The free plan has one project and one-year data retention.
Strengths: replays capture network requests and console logs, with privacy masking, conditional recording and mobile support for iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter, all linked to product analytics and error tracking.
Limits: replays are kept 1 month on free and 3 months on pay-as-you-go. PostHog offers an MIT-licensed Docker Compose deployment but states that self-hosted deployments are officially unsupported. See our PostHog alternatives for more.
Who it is for: teams already on Datadog for APM, logs or infrastructure.
Pricing: Datadog lists Real User Monitoring Measure at $0.15 per 1,000 sessions on full traffic and RUM Investigate at $3 per 1,000 filtered sessions. Session Replay is an add-on for RUM and Product Analytics at $2.50 per 1,000 sessions a month, all billed annually ($3 month-to-month). Error Tracking costs $25 a month for the first 50K errors, billed annually.
Strengths: Datadog Session Replay links replays to Error Tracking, RUM and APM distributed traces across web and mobile, with heatmaps.
Limits: several meters (RUM, replay, errors) add up, and it makes most sense if the rest of your monitoring is on Datadog.
Who it is for: teams that want replays and errors next to feature flags and release monitoring.
Pricing: LaunchDarkly announced that Highlight joined it on April 21, 2025, and highlight.io now redirects to LaunchDarkly. The free Developer plan on LaunchDarkly's pricing page includes 5K session replays and 5K errors a month, each stored for one month. Foundation is pay as you go after a 14-day trial, with 5K replays, 5K errors, 10M logs and 10M traces included each month.
Strengths: session replay, error monitoring, logs and traces in its observability product, feeding its guarded releases. See our LaunchDarkly alternatives if you only need flags.
Limits: the pricing page says usage beyond the included amounts bills as you go but does not list a per-replay rate, so ask before scaling.
Who it is for: teams that need replay data on their own servers without an enterprise deal.
Pricing: the open-source edition is free to self-host. OpenReplay Dedicated is a managed instance starting at $199 a month, billed hourly, with a 7-day trial; Enterprise is self-hosted with custom pricing.
Strengths: session replay with developer tools, co-browsing, funnels, heatmaps, journey analysis and Spot bug reports.
Limits: the code uses several licences (AGPL v3 by default plus a separately licensed enterprise directory), and you run the infrastructure yourself on the free edition.
Who it is for: product, UX and digital teams who use LogRocket more for behavior than debugging.
Pricing: FullstoryFree includes 30,000 sessions a month and 12 months of data retention for up to 10 users. Business, Advanced and Enterprise are by request.
Strengths: session replay, heatmaps, click and scroll maps, developer tools, funnels and segmentation.
Limits: no public paid prices, and mobile is an add-on. Our FullStory alternatives guide compares it further.
Who it is for: teams that mostly watch replays and heatmaps on a website and want to stop paying.
Pricing: Clarity is free forever with no paid version. It records up to 100,000 sessions per project per day and keeps recordings 30 days.
Strengths: recordings, heatmaps, rage-click and dead-click insights, funnels, Copilot summaries and mobile SDKs.
Limits: no error monitoring, network logs or tracing, so it does not replace LogRocket for engineers.
Who it is for: teams whose LogRocket use is mainly in native mobile apps.
Pricing: UXCam prices by monthly session volume, with a free trial and then a custom quote.
Strengths: mobile and web session replay, heatmaps, journey analytics, issue analytics and the Tara AI analyst.
Limits: no public prices.
Smartlook joined Cisco; its End of Sale took effect on 31 May 2026 and the platform will be decommissioned on 30 September 2027. Hotjar no longer accepts new accounts; it is part of Contentsquare, which suits UX teams more than debugging. New Relic also offers session replay in its browser monitoring, but its pricing is based on data ingest (100 GB a month free) rather than sessions, so we could not compare it per session.
Split your LogRocket use into debugging and product insight. If it is mostly debugging, choose the tool where your errors already live: Sentry for application errors, Datadog for full-stack monitoring, LaunchDarkly if you want replays tied to releases. If it is product insight, PostHog or Fullstory keep replays next to analytics, and our session replay tools roundup covers more UX-focused options. If data residency rules out SaaS, OpenReplay is the open-source route.
Once replays show where users stall, in-app guidance or a short survey at that step is often the fix. PLG OS provides onboarding, Help Hub and survey components, with Starter at $49 a month for 1,000 MTUs.
Microsoft Clarity is free with no paid version, but it lacks error and network data. For debugging, Sentry's free Developer plan (one user, 50 replays a month) and PostHog's 5,000 free web recordings a month are closer matches.
Yes. LogRocket's pricing calculator shows a free plan at 1,000 sessions a month, and paid pricing starts at $83 a month at 10,000 sessions based on annual plan savings, as of October 2026.
OpenReplay has a free open-source edition you host yourself. PostHog offers a Docker Compose deployment it calls officially unsupported, and LogRocket itself offers self-hosting on Enterprise.
LaunchDarkly announced on April 21, 2025 that Highlight joined it. Highlight.io now redirects to LaunchDarkly, whose free Developer plan includes 5K session replays and 5K errors a month.
It depends on volume and what else you buy. Datadog's Session Replay add-on is $2.50 per 1,000 sessions billed annually, but it sits on top of RUM, which is priced separately.
