9 Best Product Roadmap Software Tools for SaaS Teams

9 Best Product Roadmap Software Tools for SaaS Teams

The quick answer

Quick answer: for a dedicated product roadmapping suite, Aha! Roadmaps starts at $59 per user a month billed annually and covers strategy, ideas portals and roadmaps in one place. Teams that already plan in Jira should look first at Jira Product Discovery, which is free for up to 3 creators and then $10 per creator a month. Productboard is the feedback-led option, now sold through a demo. For a single roadmapper on a budget, Tempo Roadmaps (formerly Roadmunk) starts at $19 per editor a month billed annually, and Craft.io starts at $19 per editor a month on yearly billing. ProdPad suits lean, outcome-based roadmaps with modular pricing, airfocus and ProductPlan suit larger product organizations, and Linear suits engineering-led teams that want planning and issue tracking in one tool, with a free plan. Prices are as of October 2026, checked on each vendor's own site.

What product roadmap software does

Product roadmap software turns a list of ideas into a plan that other teams can read. Most tools in this category do four jobs: capture ideas and customer feedback, score and prioritize them, lay them out on a timeline or a Now, Next, Later board, and share the result with stakeholders who should not need a paid seat. The better ones also sync with the delivery tool (Jira, Azure DevOps, Linear) so the roadmap updates as work ships.

When you compare tools, check four things: who has to pay (editors only, or everyone who views), whether a delivery integration is two-way, whether a feedback portal is included or an add-on, and whether pricing is published or sales-led. If you are still deciding what your roadmap should look like, start with our product roadmap examples and templates.

1. Aha! Roadmaps

Who it is for: product organizations that want strategy, ideas, roadmaps and documentation in one suite.

Pricing: Premium starts at $59 per user a month billed annually ($74 monthly), Enterprise at $99 ($124 monthly) and Enterprise+ at $149, annual only. A 30-day trial gives access to all Enterprise features, with no credit card required. Aha! says prices rise 3% each year. See the Aha! Roadmaps pricing page.

Strengths: every plan includes Ideas Essentials (branded ideas portals with unlimited portal users), Whiteboards Essentials and Knowledge Essentials, plus scoring, dependencies, presentations and an AI assistant. Enterprise adds unlimited free reviewers and viewers. Enterprise+ adds OKRs, team capacity planning and automation rules.

Limits: CRM integrations for ideas (Salesforce, Zendesk) need the Ideas Advanced upgrade at $20 per user a month on annual plans, and free viewers start on Enterprise. See our Aha! alternatives if the price per user is the sticking point.

2. Jira Product Discovery

Who it is for: product teams whose engineers already work in Jira.

Pricing: Free for up to 3 creators with 2GB of storage; Standard is $10 and Premium $25 per creator a month on monthly billing, with annual billing saving up to 17%. Enterprise is billed annually through sales. Standard and Premium have a 14-day trial. See the Jira Product Discovery pricing page.

Strengths: contributors (anyone with Jira access by default) are free, so engineers and support staff can add insights and vote without a paid seat. Ideas link to Jira epics and issues, roadmaps can be embedded in Confluence, and scoring frameworks are built in.

Limits: cloud only, with no Data Center option, and it is most useful when delivery also runs in Jira.

3. Productboard

Who it is for: teams whose roadmap is driven by large volumes of customer feedback.

Pricing: the pricing page lists Business (request a demo, minimum of 5 makers, 25 contributors) and Enterprise (contact sales), with no prices shown. Productboard's help center, updated in September 2026, still lists a Free plan and Plus and Business at $19 and $59 per maker a month billed annually, so confirm the current offer with sales. See the Productboard pricing page.

Strengths: an AI agent called Spark that analyzes feedback and drafts specs, unlimited roadmaps, custom prioritization formulas, dependency tracking, two product portals on Business and usage integrations with Amplitude and Mixpanel.

Limits: AI features run on monthly credits (500 per maker on Business), and the sales-led process makes a quick trial harder. Our Productboard alternatives list covers other options.

4. ProdPad

Who it is for: teams that prefer outcome-focused roadmaps over dated Gantt charts.

Pricing: modular. You pick the Roadmaps, Ideas and Feedback modules you need, each in an essential or advanced version, and pay per editor license a month. Annual billing gives a 20% discount. The trial lasts at least 7 days and can be extended to more than 30 by completing tasks, with no card required. The pricing page does not list per-module prices. See the ProdPad pricing page.

Strengths: unlimited free reviewers who can add ideas and feedback, OKRs, an AI CoPilot, automations and Signals, which surfaces themes in feedback.

Limits: without published module prices on the page, you need to build a plan in the app or ask the team to compare costs.

5. Tempo Roadmaps (formerly Roadmunk)

Who it is for: a single roadmapper or a small team that wants a visual roadmap tool with clear prices.

Pricing: Starter $19, Business $49 and Professional $99 per editor a month, billed annually; Enterprise is custom. Extra reviewers cost $5 each a month. The 14-day trial includes Business features. Roadmunk.com now redirects to Tempo. See the Tempo Roadmaps pricing page.

Strengths: unlimited roadmaps and shareable interactive roadmaps on every plan; feedback portals, idea management, weighted prioritization and portfolio roadmaps from Business; two-way Jira and Azure DevOps sync and SSO on Professional.

Limits: two-way sync on Business is a $9 per collaborator add-on, and Starter includes only 3 reviewers.

6. airfocus

Who it is for: product organizations that want a configurable hierarchy and portfolio views.

Pricing: Professional and Enterprise are both "request pricing". airfocus states it does not offer a free trial; you book a demo instead. See the airfocus pricing page.

Strengths: unlimited free contributors and workspaces, board, timeline and Gantt views, a Priority Poker app, feedback portals with voting, an MCP server and Jira and Azure DevOps sync. Hosting is in EU and US data centers. airfocus is part of Lucid Software, which acquired it in April 2025.

Limits: OKRs and SAML SSO are add-ons on Professional, and capacity planning is Enterprise only.

7. Craft.io

Who it is for: mid-size product teams that want published per-editor pricing with optional modules.

Pricing: Starter is $19 per editor a month billed yearly ($24 monthly), Pro is $79 ($99 monthly), and Enterprise is custom, billed annually. Add-ons for OKRs and product strategy, a feedback portal and capacity planning cost $15 per add-on per editor a month on yearly billing for Pro. There is a 14-day trial with no card. See the Craft.io pricing page.

Strengths: unlimited free contributors, two-way sync with development tools, unlimited prioritization frameworks and dependencies on Pro, and portfolio roadmaps on Enterprise.

Limits: Starter allows a single workspace, up to 3 workspace views and 5 custom fields, with no add-ons.

8. ProductPlan

Who it is for: teams that present roadmaps to executives and large numbers of stakeholders.

Pricing: one plan with all features, sold through a demo. ProductPlan says viewers are always included and you pay only for the people building and managing roadmaps. See the ProductPlan pricing page.

Strengths: unlimited roadmaps, viewers and teams, portfolio views, OKRs, risk and dependency tracking, idea capture, research surveys, SSO and white-glove onboarding.

Limits: no published price or self-serve plan.

9. Linear

Who it is for: engineering-led startups that want the roadmap to live next to the issues.

Pricing: Free (unlimited members, 2 teams, 250 issues); Basic $10 and Business $16 per user a month, billed yearly; Enterprise is custom with annual billing only. See the Linear pricing page.

Strengths: projects with milestones, dependencies and progress updates, initiatives that group projects into strategic efforts, shared project documents and customer requests on every plan.

Limits: it is an issue tracker first; its pricing page lists issues, projects, cycles and initiatives rather than scoring frameworks or a public ideas portal.

Tools we left out or would use with care

Dragonboat targets portfolio planning across many teams; its Essential plan (described as for "Teams (5+)") and Enterprise plan are priced through sales. Feedback boards with a public roadmap, such as Canny and Featurebase, are covered in our Canny alternatives post. We also left out general work-management tools, which can hold a roadmap but are not built around product discovery.

How to choose product roadmap software

Start with where delivery happens. Jira teams get the least friction from Jira Product Discovery, and Linear teams may not need a separate tool at all. If many stakeholders only need to read the roadmap, favour tools that do not charge for viewers (ProductPlan, Aha! Enterprise, ProdPad reviewers). If feedback volume is what drives priorities, Productboard and Aha! Ideas are the closest fit. Our roadmap strategies guide covers how to run the process once the tool is chosen.

A roadmap is only as good as the input behind it. PLG OS adds in-app feedback and survey components to your product, so ideas can come from users at the moment they hit a problem, which then feed whichever roadmap tool you pick.
